Pakistani students have once again shown how smart they are on the world stage by winning many awards at the Global Science Fair 2025. Their cutting-edge work in renewable energy, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence brought them international fame and showed how strong Pakistan is becoming in STEM education.

World-Wide Recognition
This year, the Global Science Fair brought together more than 80 countries. It was held in Singapore.
The young scientists from Pakistan showed off their cutting-edge research, which included solar-powered water filtration systems and AI-based flood monitoring devices.
A group from Lahore Grammar School stood out as one of the best winners. They made a cheap, biodegradable plastic substitute out of corn starch. Another group from NED University Karachi made a soil analysis system that uses AI to help farmers accurately predict how much they will get from their crops.
Dr. Ayesha Rehman, an education policy analyst, said, “These accomplishments show that young people in Pakistan can compete with the rest of the world if they have the right resources and guidance.”
Innovation Meets Impact
The science behind these projects wasn’t the only thing that made them stand out. They also focused on solving real problems. Judges praised Pakistani students for being creative, environmentally friendly, and relevant to their own communities, especially when it came to solving environmental problems.
HEC and STEM Pakistan, a national program that promotes science and technology education, helped schools set up innovation labs where students could work on projects.
Changes in education and exposure to the world
The National STEM Competition and the Pakistan Science Foundation Fellowships are two programs that help young people learn by doing research. Students can build confidence, share ideas, and look into working with people from other countries by participating in global events like the Global Science Fair.
An HEC representative said, “Our goal is to get students to think globally but act locally. Winning these awards is only the start.”
Future Prospects
Later this year, the winning teams will go to the International Youth Innovation Expo to represent Pakistan. Their success sends a strong message: Pakistan’s next generation can lead the way in innovation for the future if they are passionate about science, get help from mentors, and invest in it and win several awards in science fair.
